I have WHAT? On May 29, 2013 I received results from a blood test that confirmed my extreme aversion to gluten caused by celiac disease. The next day my boyfriend and I broke up.
So I did what any 20-something girl would do and started a blog... Tada!
What I've learned in my 24 years of living thus far is cooking for yourself and ONLY yourself is challenging, sometimes depressing, and pretty repetitive. Now throw in some g-free dietary restrictions and you've escalated the whole thing to pretty daunting level.
So here we go. This blog is my experiment and challenge to myself to actually LEARN how to cook -- making meals that are suitable for one happy, hungry person and healthy for those on the gluten-free diet.
Along the way I plan to explore other obstacles any 20-something single lady like myself faces with this peculiar lifestyle. Eating out? The bar scene? Attending weddings? Going on dates?? Where is the blog that addresses the best g-free drunk food? How do you tell your new romantic interest that his crummy (literally), pretzel mouth can't touch this?
See? These are the things I want to explore.
Here we go!
